How to get him back

    Kiss and make-up
You wouldn't go into war without armour would you? No. Getting your man back is probably going to be a bit of a battle so make like a warrior, get your slap on, put some come-hither-and-ruffle-me volume in your tresses and slip into that body con dress. Now you just need to 'bump' into him and show him what he's missing.

    Stop crying your heart out
If he handed you a one way ticket to Dumpsville yesterday, chances are you're still pretty miffed about it today. Throw things around the room, have your tantrum and drain the waterworks before you even consider trying to win him back. A hysterical, mascara stained woman turning up on his doorstep is in no way alluring.

    Heartfelt apologies
You probably both made mistakes and if you have genuine regrets, you need to apologise. It will prompt discussion as to why you parted company but it may even spark a reunion. Admitting to faults, acknowledging bad behaviour and promising to make changes, can breathe oxygen into a fading flame.

    Be my Valentine?
It's not just us ladies who like to be wooed. We are so busy accepting hearts and flowers, chocolates and mini-breaks, that we forget our modern men like to get swept off their size nines too. Surprise him with a big romantic gesture, let him know how special he really is and start reconciliations off on the right foot.

    Tipsy texting
When berating your ex over break-up breakdown drinks with chums, be sure to leave your mobile phone at home or in the hands of the very sober, designated driver. He won't appreciate your declarations of love at 2am, your enraged rants at 3am or your sad little sob stories at 4am. Talk and text ONLY when in control.

    Jealous guy
We're not suggesting that to make your lost lover jealous you have to sleep with the next man you set eyes on and call your ex to tell him you never realised sex could be sooo good. Simply laugh at his hot colleague's jokes, flirt with his BFF and give him a taste of what it'd be like watching you make a life with some other lucky guy.

    Forgive and forget
He might have cheated. You might have done things you regret. But if you're going to get back together, make it work and not be eaten up by jealousy or anger, you have to forgive each other. The past must be left behind if you intend on making a fresh start; simply vow to learn from your mistakes and move on.

    Get on the winning team
Invite his sister, mother or best girl-friend out for a drink under the pretence that just because the relationship has broken down, you'd like to stay friends with his kith and kin. Be as sweet and charming as you can, they'll give you a glowing report, he'll realise just how much he misses you et voilà! Mission accomplished.

    Put in the legwork
If you want him back you have to do the chasing this time. Call, text, write love letters, send carrier pigeons and smoke signals if you must, but be sure to make him feel wanted. He isn't a mind reader and hoping he'll realise that you're miserable without him, sans some very unsubtle hinting, won't win him back.

    Easy lover
As much as you might want to seek comfort in his arms, he won't buy the whole ice-cream truck if you're giving away the popsicles for free. Give him the goodies once he's back on board but in the meantime woo him with your non-bedroom based charms to make sure he wants you for more than just cheap thrills.
