Remember that carrying more than one baby puts additional pressure on your body. Bear this in mind when you are planning your weeks after the birth; it might be a good idea to get some extra help.
When you are having twins, or especially when you are having more, it is true that you are more likely to go into labour prematurely. If you want to you may be able to visit your nearest special care baby unit while pregnant to have a look around.
Little twins and other multiples often seem to sleep much better when they are cuddled up in the same cot as their sibling(s). It will probably be a couple of months at least until they get too big to share.

Buying two of everything can be expensive, so consider second hand, or see if you can borrow items from friends. If you already have other children, you will probably need to get a bigger car, but it won't need to be as big as this car!
Perhaps your mum was keen to babysit when she found out you were pregnant, but now there are two babies she's a bit more nervous. If you need to take a break, see if you can get both sets of grandparents to visit for the weekend so that you and your partner can go out for lunch.
Don't they look cute laying there? Well enjoy it now, because as soon as they are crawling you'll need eyes in the back of your head far more than parents of singles. A playpen is a godsend to keep one out of danger while you change the other's nappy.
You will soon learn than everyone wants to say hello when they see more than one baby. Friendly strangers always seem to say the same thing though. You will have your "Yes we DO have our hands full at home" perfected in no time!
