Ferrari Daytona (1968 - 1973)
Coming after the Miura, the Daytona seemed very conservative, with its front engine. However, it was the last in the line of classic front-engined V12 Ferrari two seaters and, in retrospect, is one of their greatest cars. Indeed, the 1995 550 re-introduced the concept for a new generation, and it is still with us today as the 599.
Ferrari 250 GT SWB (1959 - 1961)
Recently described as "the best road car ever" by Sir Stirling Moss - and who are we to argue? The 250 GT was the last road car that could be raced in top international competitions and stand a chance of outright victory. From this point on, road cars and sports- racing cars went their separate ways.
