9. Fame Academy runner-up Lemar has easily outstripped his rivals on the now-defunct BBC talent show - becoming a credible R&B star and earning an estimated £4m in the process.
10. Singer Jane McDonald shot to fame on The Cruise, and has managed to pocket £3.5m subsequently.
