Peter James Andrea was born in London on 27 February 1973 to Greek Cypriot parents. He is the youngest of six children and has four older brothers and a sister. When he was just six years old his family moved to Australia.

Having already written dozens of songs, Peter applied to the Australian talent show New Faces in 1990. He impressed the judges so much that he was offered a record deal on live TV. A star was born!

June 1996
After several hit singles and a gold-selling album in Australia, Peter moved back to England in a bid to launch a pop career in the UK. It paid off when Mysterious Girl reached number two in June and he followed that with a chart-topping album and two number one singles - Flava and I Feel You. Could you hum either of them?

There was more chart success for Peter in 1997 with three further Top 10 hits and on 16 July he achieved a life-long ambition when he performed a sell-out show at London's Wembley Arena. He also enjoyed a fling with Spice Girl Mel B after the pair met at a Smash Hits roadshow. Scary!

By 1999 the hits had dried up for Peter and he'd slipped off the celebrity radar completely. But all that was about to change when he signed up for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Other stars joining him on the ITV show included Neil Ruddock, John Lydon and a certain glamour model called Jordan.

It was love at first sight for Peter and Jordan (real name Katie Price) and Peter struggled to hide his excitement as millions of viewers watched the budding romance. After he emerged from the jungle in third place - behind Jennie Bond and that year's winner Kerry Katona - he declared his love for Katie.

Peter's best-known song Mysterious Girl was re-released and went straight to number one as his popularity soared following his I'm A Celebrity appearance. He followed this in June with the top three hit Insania, the song which viewers saw him compose during his time in the jungle. An album of new material failed to make the top 40.

Now the stars of their very own ITV2 fly-on-the-wall series Katie And Peter, reality TV's golden couple welcomed their first child into their crazy world. Junior Sawa Andrea was born on 13 June 2005.

No expense was spared as Peter married Katie at Highclere Castle in Berkshire on 10 September 2005. Every OTT detail of the ceremony, which included a pumpkin-style carriage, was captured for OK! magazine, in which the two were now regular faces.
